Description
Polymaker PETG is a tough, heat-resistant 1.75 mm, 1 kg PETG filament available in Kuwait from NOZL Store. It holds its shape to around 70°C, well past the point where PLA softens, which makes it the right choice for car accessories, outdoor parts and functional prints in Kuwait's heat. It prints at up to 300 mm/s on almost any FDM printer, needs no enclosure and runs smoothly in multi-material systems.
What Polymaker PETG is best for
Choose Polymaker PETG for car mounts and accessories, brackets, clips, fixtures, gears, outdoor fittings and garden parts: anything that lives in the sun, sits in a parked car or takes real loads. It is less brittle and more impact-resistant than PLA, and it resists water, chemicals and weather.

Why makers choose Polymaker PETG
- Heat resistant: holds its shape to around 70°C, so parts survive Kuwait summers where PLA would deform.
- Tough, not brittle: bends under impact instead of snapping, which makes it ideal for clips, mounts and moving parts.
- Easy to print: no enclosure needed, so it prints well on open-frame printers at up to 300 mm/s.
- Multi-color ready: feeds reliably in multi-material systems for color changes.
Polymaker PETG or PLA?
Choose Polymaker PETG for parts that face heat, sun, stress or moisture. Choose Polymaker Panchroma Matte PLA for display pieces with a finished matte look, or Polymaker Panchroma PLA for fast everyday printing indoors.
Frequently asked questions
What is Polymaker PETG?
Polymaker PETG is a tough, heat-resistant 3D printing filament with good impact, chemical and weather resistance. It is designed for functional parts that need to hold up in real use.
What temperature should I print Polymaker PETG at?
Print at a nozzle temperature of 240–260°C and a bed temperature of 60–70°C, with the part-cooling fan at 20–60%. No enclosure is needed.
Is PETG better than PLA for Kuwait's heat?
Yes. Polymaker PETG holds its shape to around 70°C, while PLA starts to soften at around 60°C. For car accessories and parts left in the sun, PETG is the safer choice.
Can Polymaker PETG be used outdoors?
Yes, it handles weather, water and heat well. For parts in direct sun all year round, ASA offers stronger UV resistance and will hold its color longer.
Why is my PETG stringing?
Usually because of moisture. PETG absorbs water from the air, which causes stringing, popping sounds and weaker prints. Dry the spool at 60°C for 6 hours, then check your temperature and retraction settings. In Kuwait's humid months, store open spools in a sealed box or a PolyDryer.
Why are my PETG prints sticking too hard to the bed?
PETG bonds strongly to smooth PEI and glass. Use a textured PEI plate, or apply a thin layer of glue stick as a release layer, and let the plate cool before removing the print.
Do I need an enclosed printer for PETG?
No. Polymaker PETG prints well on open-frame printers.
