Why makers choose Panchroma PLA
- High speed: rated to 350 mm/s, so prints finish sooner without losing detail.
- Consistent results: Polymaker tunes each color individually, so a new color prints like the last one.
- Tangle-free: neat factory winding prevents knots and snags on long prints.
- Multi-color ready: reinforced cardboard spools feed reliably in multi-material systems.
Panchroma PLA or Panchroma Matte?
Choose Panchroma PLA for speed, a bit more strength and everyday printing. Choose Polymaker Panchroma Matte PLA when you want a soft matte finish that hides layer lines, for display pieces and models where appearance matters most.
Frequently asked questions
What is Panchroma PLA?
Panchroma PLA (also called Panchroma Basic) is Polymaker's high-speed everyday PLA filament, with a smooth standard finish and print speeds up to 350 mm/s.
What temperature should I print Panchroma PLA at?
Print at a nozzle temperature of 190–230°C and a bed temperature of 25–60°C, with the part-cooling fan on. No enclosure is needed.
Is Panchroma PLA good for beginners?
Yes. It prints on standard PLA settings, sticks well to the bed and has low warping, which makes it one of the easiest filaments to start with.
Does Panchroma PLA work in multi-material systems?
Yes. It comes on a cardboard spool with reinforced edges designed to feed smoothly in multi-material systems.
Can I leave Panchroma PLA prints in a car in Kuwait?
No. PLA starts to soften at around 60°C, and car interiors in Kuwait's summer get far hotter than that. For car accessories and anything left in the sun, use Polymaker PETG.
Is Panchroma PLA strong enough for functional parts?
For light-duty parts, yes. It is almost twice as strong as Panchroma Matte. For load-bearing parts, heat exposure or outdoor use, choose Polymaker PETG.
Do I need to dry Panchroma PLA?
Only if the filament has absorbed moisture, which shows as stringing, popping or rough surfaces. Dry it at 55°C for 6 hours. In Kuwait's humid late-summer months, store open spools in a sealed box or a PolyDryer.
